Without a proper cleanse, dirt, oil, and pollution can act as a barrier, preventing your serums and moisturizers from truly sinking in and doing their job. A good cleanser removes impurities, which helps prevent breakouts and dullness.

Double cleanse at night if you're wearing makeup and/or layers of sunscreen. A single cleanse is fine if you've had a makeup free day at home. Using your fingertips is all you need; I only use the sponges in the photos to help rinse during facials, not on my own.

And remember, healthy skin requires commitment, not a quick fix. Don't skip your nightly routine!

Just like most jobs, I don't get the opportunity to just lie around (except to take this quick photo!). There is always something to clean or order or someone to schedule. Taxes need done, marketing needs made, and charting on clients is often behind schedule. I know skin care in general has been "trending" for a while, but I want to make sure that people considering this field as a career know it's hard work. And, unfortunately, I can barely remember when my last facial was🤣

I know a lot of Esthy's push monthly facials for everyone, but that's not the case. Everybody's skin has different needs, and what you are doing at home plays a big role as well.

👉Have a great skin care routine that you are super consistent with and just looking to maintain your skin? You probably need a few facials a year.
👉Struggling with breakouts and super clogged skin? You'll need monthly or bi-monthly treatments at least until we can get things under control.

☔️Bring an umbrella to your appointment if rain is in the forecast. Lashes can't get wet for 24 hours.
🚫Hands off. Lashes are still setting. Don't touch them until after a full day.
🛌Try to sleep on your back the first night. Sleeping on your face or side can cause the lashes to bend or crimp.
🏋‍♀️No sweaty workouts. Remember, the lashes can't get wet.

After 24 hours, you can swim, wear makeup, do hot yoga, or basically resume life as normal. But with gorgeous lashes❤️
