Esthetics is currently an over-saturated field. I honestly feel like a week (or sometimes a day) can't go by without hearing and reading false claims by other Estheticians. In Pennsylvania, there are NO requirements in the beauty industry for continuing education requirements(which is horrifying). From someone who prides herself on constantly learning and keeping up with the latest in all things skin, it's sooo frustrating😵‍💫

1. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. We were taught that as kids, and it still stands in every aspect of life.
2. Using the right products for your skin 365 days a year far surpasses any facial treatments. You can get all the peels and lasers, but without that daily foundation, it's pointless. Side note, cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen are the 3 most important products that everyone needs.
3. Pores can not be shrunk. They CAN be cleaned out, and the skin deeply exfoliated to make them appear smaller. But they're not changing size. And that "magic" product they're trying to sell you? It won't do it either. It's literally impossible.
4. If massaging was able to give everyone snatched jaws, wouldn't we all just massage our abs and have 6-packs? Trust me, I wish it was physically possible!

There's a lot of misinformation out there. Don't get caught up in the latest hype...like the current PDRN salmon sperm topical treatments/creams (which don't penetrate deep enough to work; only the injections are proven to be effective).And always feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions 🫶
